This Privacy Policy explains how Switch Dimension (“Switch Dimension”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), the operator of Levercast (the “Service”), collects, uses, shares, and protects personal data when you use our website, applications, API, and MCP server. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.
If you have any questions about this policy or how we handle your data, contact us at info@switchdimension.com.
1. Who we are
Levercast is a multi-platform social publishing tool operated by Switch Dimension Ltd. Our registered address is Portershed 2, 15 Market Street, Galway City, H91 TCX3, Ireland. For any privacy-related request, email info@switchdimension.com.
2. Data we collect
Account information
When you create an account, our authentication provider (Clerk) processes your name, email address, and login credentials on our behalf. We store an associated user record to operate your account.
Waitlist information
If you join our waitlist, we collect and store your email address so we can contact you about access and product updates.
Content you create
We store the content you provide to the Service, including post ideas, drafts, platform-specific copy, templates, tags, scheduling details, and any images you upload. Uploaded images are stored using Vercel Blob.
Connected platform data
When you connect a social platform (LinkedIn, X, Circle, or Instagram via Facebook), we store the access and refresh tokens issued by that platform so we can publish on your behalf and retrieve analytics you have authorized. These tokens are encrypted at rest and are only used server-side; we never expose them to your browser. Depending on the permissions you grant, we may also process post performance data such as impressions and engagement metrics.
API keys
If you create API keys for programmatic access (including via our MCP server), we store a hashed version of each key together with its prefix, name, and last-used timestamp. We cannot recover the full key after it is created.
Usage and device data
We use PostHog to collect product analytics, such as pages viewed, features used, approximate location derived from IP address, browser and device type, and similar diagnostic information. See our Cookie Policy for details on the cookies and similar technologies involved.
3. How we use your data
- To provide, operate, and maintain the Service.
- To reformat and publish your content to the platforms you connect.
- To authenticate you and secure your account.
- To process content through AI models so we can generate platform-tailored copy (see Section 4).
- To communicate with you about your account, updates, and support requests.
- To monitor, analyze, and improve the Service and develop new features.
- To detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and security issues.
- To comply with legal obligations.
4. AI processing
To reformat your ideas into platform-specific copy, we send the relevant content to OpenAI through its API (currently the GPT-4o-mini model). We use OpenAI’s standard API, under which your content is not used to train OpenAI’s models. OpenAI processes this content as our subprocessor solely to return the generated output to you.
5. Legal bases for processing (UK/EU)
If you are in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, we rely on the following legal bases under the UK GDPR and EU GDPR:
- Contract — to provide the Service you have signed up for, including account management, content processing, and publishing.
- Legitimate interests — to secure, analyze, and improve the Service, where not overridden by your rights.
- Consent — for non-essential cookies and certain marketing communications. You may withdraw consent at any time.
- Legal obligation — where we must process data to comply with the law.
6. How we share your data
We do not sell your personal data. We share data with the following categories of subprocessors and recipients to operate the Service:
| Subprocessor | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Clerk | Authentication and user management |
| Neon | Database hosting (Serverless Postgres) |
| Vercel | Application hosting and file storage (Vercel Blob) |
| OpenAI | AI content reformatting (standard API, no training) |
| PostHog | Product analytics |
| LinkedIn, X, Circle, Meta (Instagram/Facebook) | Publishing and analytics for the platforms you choose to connect |
We may also disclose data where required by law, to enforce our terms, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
7. International transfers
Some of our subprocessors are located outside the UK and EEA, including in the United States. Where we transfer personal data internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.
8. Data retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. When you delete your account or content, we delete or anonymize the associated personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain it to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.
9. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to our processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, email info@switchdimension.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office).
You can manage much of your data directly in the Service: disconnect a platform at any time under Settings → Connections, and revoke API keys under Settings → API Keys.
10. California privacy rights
If you are a California resident, the CCPA/CPRA gives you the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion or correction, and to opt out of any “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. We do not sell your personal information. To exercise these rights, contact us at info@switchdimension.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
11. Data security
We use technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encryption of connected-platform tokens at rest and server-side handling of all credentials. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
12. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and revise the effective date above. Material changes will be communicated where appropriate.
