Tags
Organize posts with categorized tags and saved views.
Overview
Tags help you categorize and filter your content library. Every post can have multiple tags, and tags are organized into categories.
Tag Categories
| Category | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Shelf Life | How time-sensitive the content is (e.g., "evergreen", "timely") |
| Content Type | What kind of content it is (e.g., "thought leadership", "how-to", "announcement") |
| Goal | The purpose of the post (e.g., "engagement", "traffic", "brand awareness") |
| User | Custom tags you define for your own workflow |
Creating Tags
- Tags can be created from the tag selector when editing a post
- Or manage all tags from the dashboard
Each tag has:
- Name — Display name
- Slug — URL-friendly identifier (auto-generated)
- Category — One of the four categories above
- Color — Optional color for visual identification
Filtering by Tags
Use the tag filter on the dashboard post list to narrow down your content. Tags appear as colored pills on each post card for quick visual scanning.
Saved Views
Post Views let you save a combination of tag filter and sort preferences. Create a view like "Evergreen Ideas — Newest First" and switch between views without re-configuring filters each time.
API Access
Tags are fully accessible through the public API — create, update, delete, and list tags programmatically.
