Templates

Templates control how Levercast's AI reformats your ideas. Each template contains per-platform prompts that define the tone, style, and constraints for generated content.

Default Templates

Every account starts with built-in defaults:

Creating a Custom Template

1. Navigate to Dashboard → Templates
2. Click New Template
3. Give it a name (e.g., "Casual & Fun" or "Product Launch")
4. Write custom prompts for each platform — or leave a field blank to use the default
5. Save the template

Using Templates

When creating a post, select a template before clicking Reformat with AI. The AI system prompt is built dynamically from the selected template's per-platform prompts.

If no template is explicitly selected, Levercast uses your default template — the one marked as default in your template list.

How It Works Under the Hood

The reformat API builds a system prompt that pairs each platform's output field with its template instruction. The AI receives field names as routing keys only — the tone and constraints come entirely from the template text, not from any platform label.

This means your templates have full control over the AI's output style for each channel.

Template Fields

Each template has these configurable prompts:

• linkedInPrompt — Instructions for the LinkedIn variant
• xPrompt — Instructions for the X (Twitter) variant
• circlePrompt — Instructions for the Circle variant
• instagramPrompt — Instructions for the Instagram variant

Leave any field empty to fall back to the built-in default for that platform.
